Thanks to a Salinas chiropractor, I am no longer worrying myself to death about a wrist injury. I was outside working near my carport when a spider startled me by falling on my neck. While in the process of running around shrieking at full volume and swatting at my neck, I tripped over one of my daughter’s toys in the yard and fell right over. I broke my fall with an outstretched arm and everything seemed to be ok. I went about my business once I knew the spider was gone and didn’t think anything else about the incident until the next day.
I noticed the wrist pain when I got up and realized I’d probably sprained my wrist during the fall. Still, I thought I had nothing to worry about. Sprains aren’t that bad and usually clear up in a few days, maybe longer if it’s really bad and this didn’t feel that bad. I’ve had worse. So again I went about my business. I did notice that typing on the keyboard quickly became taxing due to increasing pain so I took a break and did something else. My problem is I wasn’t writing even a week later because the pain never went away.
I made an appointment with a chiropractor I’d been to before for a back injury. They did a good job with that injury so I figured they’d get the wrist fixed up right off. It turns out the injury was a bit more serious than I thought. Apparently the fall pinched a nerve and that’s why it wasn’t going away. The chiropractor said it would have gotten worse had I not come in for a visit. He did a few things to my arm and wrist, none of which hurt, and I was as right as rain. Instant relief and proof that chiropractors know what they’re doing!
